Stephanie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota and received her elementary education certification and teaching license from St. Thomas University in St. Paul, Minnesota. She is a member of the Suzuki Association of Americas and completed her Suzuki teacher training with Nancy Lokken at the American Suzuki Institute.

Prior to teaching violin, Stephanie taught fifth grade for eleven years at International Christian School in Hong Kong. Stephanie enjoys reading, learning, hiking, and running, as well as family time with her husband and four young children.
